The Red Heifer – another sign the end is near?

We know from the prophet Daniel whom Jesus quotes, that the antichrist will set up an office in the Jewish Temple.

We also know, there is no Temple on the Holy mount yet because the land belongs to Jordan and there are several very important Islamic mosques/buildings not least the Al Aqsa mosque and the one we know as the Dome of The Rock.

To be able to build the Jewish Holy Temple there, another prophecy will have to be fulfilled – namely a peace treaty between Israel and her neighbours and confirmed by the antichrist.

Most of the vessels for The Temple are already made however they should be purified with water containing the ashes of a kosher red Heifer which is ritually killed when it’s over 2 years old. It has taken many, many years to breed such an animal. I have spent time with the rabbis at The Temple Institute over the years and they have shown me photographs of some of the attempts going back many years. The last (9th) Red Heifer gave birth to a lamb!

Although reported by the secular historian Josephus, we don’t know if this story is true but the spiritual implications are powerful.
Apparently there have been 9 red heifers used over the centuries to purify the temple vessels – that is the ashes of them have been used for that purpose according to Torah. That is 9 up until the Lamb of God appeared!
Josephus states that when they had prepared the 10th in an effort to purify the temple vessels and hoping that God would do some sort of miracle and hold back the invading Roman armies of Titus and Vespasian, the heifer gave birth to a lamb…
This was obviously an aberration which made the heifer unclean – and of course we know the Temple was indeed destroyed.
The spiritual implication being that the literal Pesach (Passover) Lamb had been sacrificed once for all – and He had fulfilled the requirements of the red heifer.
Many rabbis therefore say that the 10th (the next!) red heifer will be the one to purify the vessels for Mashiach (Messiah) – which is why they are getting very excited.
Remember that we know the Temple will be rebuilt to allow Antichrist to take his place – so you need to be sure of WHY we are excited about this happening.
The clue is – Maranatha! Even so, come Lord Jesus!
