I recently wrote a post on a Facebook group in response to somebody who was misusing scripture and several people asked me to repeat it – so here we go.
(All glory to God of course!)
Actually, the scriptures tell us to mark well those who cause division (Romans 16:17).
We are to watch our own doctrine closely (1 Tim 4:16) before judging anybody else.
We know that in these days people will not endure sound doctrine (2 Tim 4:3) but the most important thing is for each of us to examine OURSELVES to be sure we are still in the faith (2 Cor 13:5).
If we all do that, there will be fewer Christians walking around with whole forests obscuring their own vision as they try to remove a speck from their brethren’s eyes (Matt 7:3-5) and as WE show forth the Fruit of The Spirit (Gal 5:22-23) we will be bringing great joy to our Heavenly Father per Psalm 133 and our Lord Jesus Christ – and others – will know who are HIS disciples (John 13:35).
